The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey continues its Summer Festival on Sunday, August 18th when they present their annual Summer Breezes Orchestra Concert at Grace Episcopal Church in Madison. The concert begins at 3pm and tickets are $40 for adults, $30 for seniors and $5 for students under age 22 with ID.
The 2019 Summer Breezes concert will open with Symphony #6 – Le Matin by Franz Joseph Haydn followed by Symphony #31 – Hornsignal by Haydn. After this will be the Piano Concerto in A minor by Clara Schumann. Closing the concert will be the Overture to the opera Ulisse in Campania by Maria Theresa Agnesi. Grace Episcopal Church is located at 4 Madison Avenue in Madison.
The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey was founded in 1996 with a focus on music of the 17th and 18th centuries. The group performs a variety of genres from concertos to symphonies to operas. Under the leadership of its Artistic Director Maestro Butts, the Orchestra’s repertoire has expanded to include 20th century and modern pieces.
